nutcracker castle

This was the first year that we went to the Nutcracker castle and it was BEAUTIFUL! Next year I plan to take Rouge to the show where the ballerinas dance. The kids got to go the little store and pick out an Ornament for our tree.

Putting on a puttet show for me!

The kids had a blast. I really wish that one could take pictures of all the beautiful trees inside the Castle. SO worth going and we will be sure to go back next year.

The videos are of the Faries room that was my favorite tree!

Christmas Concert at Neenah high

This is the last year that Dylan will have a Holiday Concert unless he desides to be in choir, which to my delight he has desided that he wanted to do. I sure will miss him being a little guy.

Rouge looks so grown up in this picture!

Dylans class signing to one of their songs

Rouge getting ready for class to sing!
I must say that this year the songs that were picked where the best in quite a few years! I was very happy, and my holiday spirt is still in full swing!

After the Holiday Concert we met up with Grandma Sonja, Layn, Uncle Andre, Aunt Lala, Tyler and Julie at the Hong Kong Buffet. Tyler also had his concert that night so the family was split up until dinner. We all had a good time, and the food was yummy!
All three of the kids still had the sillies after we ate, so this was the best picture of them.

Holiday Kick-Off 2009!

This is the first year in a long time that I am really in the Christmas Spirit! I'm really not sure why, but I think it has tons to do with getting back to the basics. We are as a family talking about what the holidays (Holy days) are really all about. For Thanksgiving we as a family went to Manarch Gardens and helped serve, and visit with people that had no place else to go. We met many new kind hearts, and I feel this really touched our souls. Those of you that know my family well knows that we are not rich, but I feel we are rich in love and that is all that really matters. This year we are Thankful for God, family and friends!
The kids love hearing the story of Jesus, and this year we had the pleasure of going to our church to see the play "A Star upon us" is was just beautiful! The play was set up as if Christmas has not yet come, and the Jesus was born in 2009 in Milwaukee WI. Like I said it was awesome and the kids loved it as well!-

November 14th

Love it! Rouge made breakfast for us this morning. I took out the flour, baking powder, oil, etc for her and gave her written instructions as to how to make pancakes....she did it all by her self! She did a great job! Not a single egg shell in the bowl. She added everything, used the mixer, scooped up the batter into the pan, and flipped them! Guess my days of having to make pancakes are done till she moves out...Right?

Enjoying the fruits of her labor! No pancakes left over. She even cleaned up most of the flour on the floor, and table. Hmmm....what should I teach her next?

It was a really cold and windy Halloween this year, Neenahs Trick or Treat times are from 4-7. We headed out at 4:30pm and back at 5:45pm...the boys stayed out later...till 6:30pm. Then it was home for some Chicken Dumpling soup, Lizard guts, Crows Eyes, Cannibal Sandwich, and all sorts of other goodies! The kids had a blast and really enjoyed all the cool food, so the time put in was well worth it!
Hope everyone had a safe and happy halloween!
